Job description
Purpose:
- Create and optimize an accurate, cost effective and timely delivery plan based on customer data / customer orders to ensure that the right product and volume is delivered from the right source to the right destination at the right time by the right sized lorry.
- Ensure scheduled deliveries are in line with Health, Safety, Security Environment and operational procedures and delivery promise to customers.
- Work with Vendor managed inventory analysts (where relevant) and other schedulers to balance order demand against lorry availability.
- Ensure the lorry availability/ diary is correctly set up in CROSS.
- Ensure Supply and product availability issues are reflected in CROSS setup.
- Allocate orders to lorries via CROSS Solution Run.
- Manually fine tune the CROSS output before sending the solution to SAP system before the cut off time.
- Liaise with other teams that contribute to the Order to Delivery process, including credit checking staff, Customer Support staff and scheduling support teams.
- Contribute to the minimization of stock outs, left on Boards and excessive multi-dropping.
- Use related software as necessary.
Education & Experience
- Preferably an Undergraduate Engineering degree with MBA from a reputable institute
- 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
