Qualification


  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management, Finance. Preferably MBA from an accredited local or foreign Institute

Job Purpose


  • Plan, manage, direct and control all activities of procurement to ensure on time availability of material & services at optimum cost to its user base by rationalizing the demand, thus generating effective savings
  • Directs local & foreign purchasing activities ranging PKR 2.0 to PKR 3.0 billion of store stock and on-demand materials for user group to support Company operations and capital projects

Professional Experience


  • Diversified & relevant managerial experience in materials management (preferably Power Sector)
  • The post requires an adequate commercial knowledge of Taxes & Duties and hands-on experience of running and operating an MRP. Use of SAP MM will be a plus

Minimum Requirements


  • Ensures that required store stock material are ordered and available to support all maintenance, repair, operations and construction projects with the minimum optimum inventory
  • A proven background in procurement and demonstrates good negotiation skills and other competencies as applied to the purchasing function
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, market intelligence, SAP, MS office
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of initiative in material management and procurement problem solving, sound knowledge of Materials Supply and Project Management processes and related General Instructions / Terms & Conditions
  • Good command on oral and written English with presentation & analytical skills

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Performs all managerial and administrative functions as established by Company management
  • Expand Competitive & Reliable Supplier base globally, leading to timely delivery, high quality and competitive prices
  • Provides the cost/benefit analysis to Purchasing for negotiations with vendors. Assists local distributors and manufacturers by developing projections of material requirements
  • To maintain / reduce the cycle time from demand to supply
  • Cross Functional Coordination with User Group and Finance to streamline activities
  • Ensure compliance to procurement procedure / policies
  • IT / SAP Projects for Business Automation
  • Ensure Supervisor in meeting projects deadline
  • Preparing monthly presentation & reporting on departmental performance
  • Open & Blocked purchase order analysis and their timely closing
  • Vendor Prequalification & Performance Evaluation
  • Monitor Daily Stock report for fast moving & critical items

What are my responsibilities?

Job description

Purpose:
Purpose of this job is to create schedules for tank lorry deliveries in order to ensure timely and economical product delivery to Retail sites and B2B customers through the Order to delivery process. It will involve liaison with customer services, hauliers, transport, supply and terminals. Effective communication with internal / external stake holders is vital, as well as the ability to manage customer promise along with efficient fleet utilization.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and optimize an accurate, cost effective and timely delivery plan based on customer data / customer orders to ensure that the right product and volume is delivered from the right source to the right destination at the right time by the right sized lorry.
  • Ensure scheduled deliveries are in line with Health, Safety, Security Environment and operational procedures and delivery promise to customers.
  • Work with Vendor managed inventory analysts (where relevant) and other schedulers to balance order demand against lorry availability.
  • Ensure the lorry availability/ diary is correctly set up in CROSS.
  • Ensure Supply and product availability issues are reflected in CROSS setup.
  • Allocate orders to lorries via CROSS Solution Run.
  • Manually fine tune the CROSS output before sending the solution to SAP system before the cut off time.
  • Liaise with other teams that contribute to the Order to Delivery process, including credit checking staff, Customer Support staff and scheduling support teams.
  • Contribute to the minimization of stock outs, left on Boards and excessive multi-dropping.
  • Use related software as necessary.
Note: This is an evening shift role. (Tentative timings are from 3 PM to 11 PM)
Education & Experience
  • Preferably an Undergraduate Engineering degree with MBA from a reputable institute
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
