Analyst, Loan Operations at MidCap Financial in Bethesda, Maryland

As a growing commercial finance company, we are looking for a candidate fulfill the role as Analyst in the Loan Operations department which will include the following responsibilities
  • Managing the day-to-day transactions related to a portfolio of loans
    • Process daily borrowing and paydown requests; processing transaction in ACBS, notifying Portfolio Management of any issues, and setting up outgoing wires.
    • Process and rollover and rate changes.
    • Prepare and process internal assignments
    • Review legal documents for amendments and restructures and process in ACBS as necessary
  • Process new deal closings; ensuring all closing documentation is complete and accurate, booking the new customer, facilities and loan in ACBS.
  • Serve as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; fielding questions regarding credit agreement terms, payments, rates, discrepancies, etc.
  • Assist in monitoring of exception reporting, cash breaks, yearly audit confirmations and other ad hoc reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting or Finance or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience working in the Banking and Finance industries (preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn lending concepts, as well as form and substance of Credit Agreements and other legal documents
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel
  • Experience with/Exposure to Commercial Loan Administration software (ACBS preferred)

Location
The position is located in Bethesda, MD. The incumbent is expected to be able to commute to the office on a daily basis within an hour one-way using standard methods of transportation (e.g. car, bus, Metrorail).
Hours
The incumbent is required to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and is expected to occasionally stay late in order to complete a task. In addition, the incumbent is occasionally expected to be available after hours via telephone and/or email to assist with travel, emergency, or unexpected events.
