Job Summary
UPS Cartage Services, Inc. is currently seeking an Order Processing Representative III, who has experience in a fast-paced office environment. The Trade Direct Solution Design and Implementations Administrative position provides customized solutions for UPS customers to enhance their transportations systems and generates non-package revenues as well as revenue for Small Package, Freight and SCS.
The Order Processing Representative II designs and develops customer solutions to improve customer performance in moving their products. He/She evaluates solutions prior to implementation to identify and rectify problems and to ensure solutions meet customer expectations. He/She determines methods and procedures for completing complex task (i.e. SOP). This provides assist to the project manager in completing the project planning cost worksheets to determine cost associated with delivering a proposed solution. This role enters daily activities into project administration tool to create time sheets, expense reports, calendar entries, and project files and to provide project progress visibility.
Other Tasks
  • Update monthly performance metrics.
  • Work diligently with other enterprise departments (i.e. US/MX Brokerage, US/MX Sales, Corporate Small Package) to achieve the Trade Direct Solution in the best possible timeframe.
  • Process international shipments utilizing web based programs.
  • Develop customer reports and internal reports.
  • Data entry of customer service orders.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot existing service request.
  • Escalate issues and/or concerns beyond ability of OPR to supervisor or manager.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
Preferred Competencies
  • Demonstrate understanding of implementation objectives, project plan, and one's role within a project; participate in the implementation of a project; provides timely, thorough, and concise updates for area of responsibility; identifies areas of risk and properly communicates them to the project manager.
  • Demonstrates and understanding of movement of materials, information, and finances involved in manufacturing and distributing products.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of products, services, and customer facing technology solutions offered by UPS along with their features and business applications; describes general customer profiles targeted by the company.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc...).
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and/or Inside Sales.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Experience in Office support.
