Assistant Trade Category Manager - Skincare
The primary purpose of the Assistant Trade Category Manager Skin Care position is to integrate shopper insights, brand JTBD’s, trade and shoppers strategies to align category ambition across all channels in Unilever. The role requires cross functional alignment with brand building, shopper activation and channels teams to ensure smooth delivery of key category objectives.
Job Summary
- Develop customer & shopper insights. Translate insights into business building opportunities within specific customers/channels
- Use and leverage channel specific category and shopper insights
- Build account/channel specific customer marketing plans to deliver category/brand objectives (CMP) in conjunction with Brand Marketing Plan (BMP) and Customer Business Plan (CBP)
- Integration of Shopper Marketing Plans with Brand Marketing Plan and channel/customer business planning
- Work with Channel Managers to ensure excellence in In-Store Activation and delivery of integrated Customer Business Plan and Shopper Marketing Plan
- Communicate the Customer’s/Channels Marketing and Business Strategy to the brand teams
- Develop strong relationships with customers
- Integrate Customer and customers’ Shopper input into Innovation program
- Manage Advertising & Promotion trade investments
- Ensure Brand standards for channels are adhered to. E.g. consistent use of brand key visuals, customer activation themes aligned with brand activation
- Lead execution of plans & activities including customized offerings (incl. special packs, channel specific packs)
- Analyze the ROI of the shopper marketing activities executed with the customer
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain cross functional alignment with brand building, shopper activation, channels team, account managers and distributive trade teams
- Develop multiyear shopper/trade category plans for all channels in line with the IBP
- Communicate and share channels, customers and shopper feedback in brand meetings and incorporate feedback in shopper marketing and brand plans
- Keep track and report competition activities and develop/integrate plans counter competition in line with category ambitions
