Job description
In this role, you will administer and market the Qatar Airways website, maintaining its position as a key direct sales channel for the airline and driving qualified traffic to the website in order to increase conversion rate and achieve targets for revenue and online penetration for Qatar Airways. You will identify, plan and implement sales initiatives, e-marketing activities, manage site content and eliminate any technical bugs in order to increase sales, whilst strengthen strategic online partnerships and improve overall customer experience on qatarairways.com. You will also manage the privilege club in terms of growth and activity rate, and implement campaigns geared towards achieving the annual target.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Planning and implementing a program of promotional offer, value-added and ancillary product propositions to achieve revenue, yield improvement, penetration targets for Qatar Airways website.
- Designing and managing online marketing activity to increase relevant traffic flow and sales conversion, using PPC, SEO, viral, display, email marketing, social media and affiliate campaigns, ensuring the delivery of all campaign applications on time, to budget and to the highest standard
- Analysing web traffic statistics and ROI of all e-marketing campaigns; compile regular and ad hoc reports to senior management on site behavior and campaign impact
- Providing specialist knowledge to teams of Search Engine Marketing, email marketing, affiliate programs, online marketing partnerships and relationship management, display advertising and social media
- Will be responsible for optimizing spend from E-Commerce online advertising budget.
To be effective in this role, you will need to have a Bachelors degree, preferably in Marketing or E-Commerce with a minimum of four years of job-related experience.
Prior experience in B2C e-marketing or online retail travel marketing would be well regarded. You will need to demonstrate experience and results in managing at least two of the following areas: Search Engine Marketing, Email Marketing, Affiliate Programs, Account Management of online marketing partnerships, Display Advertising and/or Social Media. You should be familiar with online marketing tools including Ad Creative.
Candidates with Travel Industry experience or prior Airline experience with familiarity in Digital Analytics programmes such as Omniture or Google Analytics would be given preference.
You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in English to perform this role.
