Manager of Finance, Planning and Analysis - Finance and Accounting

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
The F,P, & A Leader will report directly to the CFO and will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to forecast and communicate company financial performance and actual variances from expectations.
This position will assist with the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan, margin analysis, variance analysis, and special projects. The leader will provide financial modeling and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. This role is a key asset for Advance Financial’s future growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Analyze current and past trends in all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
•Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
•Develop credit models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
•Perform market analysis at both the company and product levels
•Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making
•Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, cash forecasting, operating plan, and modeling tools
•Create and brief quarterly and monthly financial analysis
•Implement financial dashboards and work with business intelligence tools
•Evaluate and refine internal processes and understand ROI of marketing programs, menu pricing, new product rollouts, and new projects
•Support Senior Leadership Team and department heads with in-depth analysis
•Prepare presentations to Board of Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and investors
•Assist business development in pricing for products and services
•Work cross-functionally with the accounting department and CFO to ensure daily work meets strategic intent
•Perform reporting and analysis

EDUCATION
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (or similar); MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•3 – 5 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate, Associate or Manager in Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Strategy or similar
