Central Processing Tech
The Central Processing Technician is responsible for retrieving, cleaning, decontaminating, clean set up, sterile processing, and issuing of processed equipment throughout the hospital. Also, included is CASE CART setups to surgical areas.

    The Regional Finance Officer, Presence Saints Mary & Elizabeth Medical Center, provides leadership and oversight for region accounting and finance functions, including general accounting, financial controls, internal/external financial accounting and reporting policy, budgeting/financial planning functions and efforts, under the direction of System finance leadership. Manages the budget and uses financial data to make recommendations to support decision making, ensuring the long term financial viability of the region.
    Essential Duties And Responsibilities
    • Provides input into and support for finance initiatives driven by region including interpretation, communication, and support in solving region challenges related to finance, accounting, budgeting, insurance, financial/accounting systems, internal controls, and auditing.
    • Provides consultation to the System Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on region goals.
    • Evaluates and interprets economic, social, and government influences on region financial performance. Actively seek ways to control costs without compromising the quality of services delivered.
    • Analyzes and interprets data and develops clear and informative methods to present financial information, special projects, and focused studies to region leadership.
    • Develops short term and long term financial plans for assigned region in alignment with overall System financial plans that emphasize the shift from cost management to cost reduction. Ensures that region are aligned with System financial and operating goals.
    • Manages region Revenue Cycle functions and assumes accountability for region’s performance against key performance indicators. Measures, monitors, reports and oversees regional performance. Interacts with the operational leaders in region to answer financial questions and drive results.
    • Manages and acts as a primary point-of-management-contact with region and Processing Center leaders for Revenue Cycle activities. Engages in and supports System-wide strategies to enable Revenue Cycle growth and integration.
    • Prepares reports for the senior and executive leadership outlining region financial position in all areas based on past, present and future operations, including variance analysis of actual to budget performance.
    • Oversees and maintains sign-off authority on monthly financial statements of region with a focus on contractual allowances, bad debt, charity and uninsured discount reserves and other judgmental areas.
    • Monitors Profit and Loss activities and metrics across the region to derive insights and recommendations for regional facilities. Increases accuracy and efficiency of the region or operating unit finance function by upgrading staff capabilities through training, coaching and targeted hiring as needed.
    • Implements net revenue enhancement projects and monitors Return on Investment with System VP Revenue Cycle.
    • Supports government and commercial billing and follow-up, and processes to integrate Region revenue cycle processes to share data, vendors, and applications with senior financial and executive leadership.
    • Implements Revenue Cycle strategy, annual plan, policies, methods, standards, and tools; and strategy, goals, and targets for Revenue Cycle integration across the System with senior and executive leadership.
    • Provides input into strategy for ICD-10 assessment, planning, readiness, implementation and productivity technology with System leadership.
    • Collaborates with senior and executive leadership to implement policies, processes, and guidelines for insurance verification, notification, and authorization.
    • Implements clinical denials and appeals processes; and processes and policies for underpayment services, denials management, payer meeting liaison services, patient payment collection, bad debt evaluation and collection and root cause analysis, in collaboration with executive leadership.

      Education And/or Experience
      Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business required. Minimum seven years progressive hospital financial leadership experience including previous experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Controller, or similar senior level finance position
      Master’s degree in finance, accounting or business preferred.
      Demonstrated willingness to share information. Demonstrated committed to following GAAP and Presence Health System policies in all financial decisions
      Computer Skills
      Proficiency in the use of accounting software, Microsoft Office applications and Outlook required.
      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
      CPA with current State licensure or proof of maintaining education requirements preferred. Fellow certification (FHFMA) in Healthcare Financial Management Association preferred.
