Sales Marketing Manager at Roku Inc. in New York City, NY, US

The Role And Responsibilities

The Sales Marketing Manager will help build the Roku advertising organization’s brand among marketers and agencies, ensuring that the brand is communicated consistently and effectively across all client-facing touch points. Reporting to the head of Ad Sales Marketing, the Sales Marketing Manager will be charged with developing strategies that demonstrate Roku’s leadership in video advertising to prospective & existing clients while mapping to business objectives.
As a marketing leader, you will be responsible for influencing customer conversations through strategic storytelling and actionable insights for positive growth and relationship outcomes. You will partner with cross-functional teams to lead the development of insights driven, persuasive marketing solutions Roku’s advertising products and platforms.
  • Lead the sales marketing efforts by developing the Roku narrative in a digestible saleable format across all client-facing touchpoints; including general presentations, RFPs, one sheets, custom meeting decks, case studies, product and research specific tools.
  • Maintain proactive ad sales collateral/media kit in collaboration with designer(s) and sales, product, & other stakeholders.
  • Identify seller/client needs as they relate to sales materials and streamline regular updates to ensure collateral is accurate, up-to-date, and as compelling as possible.
  • Oversee the creation of integrated proposals in response to RFP requests leveraging Roku’s solution suite.
  • Leverage market expertise and research to identify opportunities to proactively drive conversation with advertisers through big idea thinking and first to market concepts.
  • Turn Roku audience data into insights to support marketing stories and solution recommendations.
  • Partner with product and other salable ad opportunity launches by developing the positioning & go-to market strategy.
  • Work with Head of Ad Sales Marketing to build a team and scale sales marketing efforts.
Experience/Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in ad tech, media, marketing, or a communications-related field.
  • Superior storytelling talent with ability and passion for communicating with text, illustration, and video.
  • Eye for design and experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Exceptional experience in building sales presentations from script to slide design in PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.
  • Comfortable with numbers and highly technical concepts; demonstrable skill for translating data, statistics, and “inside baseball” into intriguing yet easily digestible content.
  • Collaborative nature & track record of being an invaluable resource to sales teams.

Position Summary
The Personal Banker creates and manages a sales plan delineating optimal methods for achieving sales goals through interaction with clients, prospects, internal partners, and other external contacts and through engaging in events and other marketing activities.
Position Responsibilities
  • Leverage Citi's customer leads and other lead generation techniques (e.g., referrals, community outreach) to identify new prospects and cross-selling opportunities with current clients.
  • Conduct discussions with prospects to understand background and identify needs; clearly communicate potential solutions.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities (e.g., phone out-reach, community events, meetings with local businesses) to establish visibility in the community and drive business to the branch.
  • Execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies that are aligned with the branch's business plan.
  • Cultivate partnerships with segment partners (e.g. Commercial and Small Business, Home Lending, Financial Advisors, Citigold) to obtain and provide appropriately qualified referrals; meet periodically with segment partners to review goals, discuss strategies, and solicit feedback and coaching.
  • Take ownership of the client experience including on-boarding and resolve service issues as appropriate through follow-up from self and other Citi resources following client transactions.
  • Schedule periodic meetings and check-points with clients to provide value-added services.
  • Assist in execution of branch events; invite clients and prospects to events; actively engage with attendees and follow-up to develop a network and grow branch business.
  • Understand and consistently adhere to all operational controls to ensure the safety and security of client and bank assets; complete required regulatory/compliance training.
  • Provide Tellers and other branch staff with coaching and guidance on products and special programs, identifying client needs, and providing appropriate referrals.

Senior Manager, Capital Officer/ Relationship Manager
Summary
Community Finance Capital Officers seek to leverage our ability to bring debt and equity investment capital to our clients, while serving as the lead marketers for our products and managing specific geographic markets. Once business is located, they lead the deal team through approval and closing of both debt and/or equity for each deal. They determine product pricing and manage resources toward agreed upon targets. They are leaders in their communities, with their broad expertise in bringing capital to bear on critical community issues. The Senior Manager, Capital Officer performs responsibilities independently, but often under the guidance or direction of more senior Capital Officers.
  • Finances transactions with: Low income housing tax credits (LIHTC), tax exempt bonds, new market tax credits, funding from US Department of Housing and Urban development (HUD), including HOPE VI, HAP contracts, and public housing, and other state/local governmental financing sources.
  • Under the guidance/direction of the originations manager or designee, plans portfolio growth through the development of a business plan and customer call program in alignment with departmental budget and consistent with overall Bank objectives
  • Assists other account officers in their efforts to obtain new business and retain existing customer relationships for the bank
  • In consultation with the originations manager or designee, performs the proper pre-qualification, structuring, pricing of all debt and proprietary investments in his/her assigned area. Presents deal proposals to originations manager or designee and credit risk manager and keeps deal team informed.
  • In consultation with the originations manager or designee, negotiates both debt and equity investments related to community development transactions
  • Manages (or assists in managing) national relationships with fund managers of low income tax credits
  • Leads the closing of all transactions originated including working with internal and external teams to obtain final credit approval, achieving timely closing and keeping management informed
  • Leads coordination with other departments for the sale and administration of all financial services to include debt, deposits, investments, derivatives, etc. within the assigned region
  • Coordinates with various CF functional teams and other departments in the servicing of client relationship and in resolving any client issues that rise beyond the day to day responsibilities of Portfolio Management.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of competitor’s products and pricing in the market served; identifies community needs and opportunities for the bank to serve.
  • Assists originations manager maintain monthly team pricing reports, resource materials, brand/marketing materials and form template documents.
General Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Community Finance client management, underwriting or asset management
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance preferred.
  • At least 8 years of specialized experience in Community Finance
  • Completion of credit training program
  • Strong oral and written communication, presentation and influencing skills with a high level of attention to detail.
